Systems that run efficiently and last longer, breakdowns caught before summer, and one less thing to remember. Queensland's Electrical Safety Office recommends a licensed electrician periodically checks your property and tests your safety switches. The Comfort Club does both, every year.
One membership covers the air con, the switchboard and the smoke alarms. You get a written record that the property's safety switches have been tested and work, supporting the owner's obligations under the Residential Tenancies and Rooming Accommodation Act 2008. Rental homes have needed interconnected photoelectric smoke alarms since 1 January 2022.
The Queensland sale contract asks whether an approved safety switch and compliant smoke alarms are installed. Our report gives you the answer in writing. Every Queensland home needs interconnected photoelectric smoke alarms by 1 January 2027.
